Is LIVING IN A "PAUSE" a failure in life? Surely, many of us get to face this stomping question from time to time. Especially WHEN we hit those roadblocks. WHEN get to hit the wall. True, as we go about our more mundane daily activities, we tend to [often] lose the energy and excitement OR even become frustrated by those obstacles. YES, it is that easy to get sucked back into 'life-as-usual' and to feel just too drained to even devote our time to new goals and new initiatives, if at all. So, the bigger question we CAN'T run away remains the same: IS LIVING IN A 'PAUSE' mean [or at least imply] that we're hitting a failure in life👩👩👩
Sometime back, life did hit me upside right to my head and if you're curious as to WHAT happened next? YES, everything went to a screeching halt. Imagine those unfortunate confluence of events like going through a loss, frustration, disappointment all rolled into one, I DIDN'T know WHAT to do next. And quite unconsciously, I PAUSED, exactly that screeching halt you would hear WHEN your tires would come to grip WHILE running in full throttle and the driver pulling the brakes like in an emergency mode? So, was that a 'bad' year for me? Nope, it was NOT. Instead, it was one of the worst phases I had to weather and go through💥💥💥
To be poetic, sometimes, that PAUSE consists of moments like strolling through the flower garden and smelling the roses and YES, sometimes, that PAUSE means spending MORE [as in MORE] time with the family. Unfortunately, especially in the Third World, families have become the 'collateral damage' brought about by the diaspora of local citizens finding work 10,000 miles away from home. And WHERE'S the PAUSE then😡😡😡

There's this NOT so known study telling us that for that PAUSE to happen in our life, there is that 'dig-deep' button that is at that secret level of pushing through WHEN we're exhausted and overwhelmed and WHEN there's too much to do and too little time for self-care. One time before WHEN I managed to weather and pass beyond a confluence of 'stars misalignment', I thought about hitting that 'dig-deep' button BUT apprehensive. Probably, that time, it DIDN'T mean that I DIDN'T find a way to eventually get back on track and push on toward our dreams. Instead, I realized that somehow, it meant that I did care for myself, enough for me to take some time to reflect and rejuvenate. So, HOW do we deal with those major obstacles that we get to hit along the way? Especially if WHAT's staring ahead of us is spiraling into 'addictions' [LIKE that addiction to 'busy-ness']? HOW do we get back on track in our journey then? WHAT about a PAUSE???
Our takeaway: To PAUSE OR NOT is even NOT worth the talking point in life. BUT having said this, let us NOT shun off from a PAUSE if and when circumstances call for it. After all, to PAUSE is NOT to give up. It's NOT throwing in the towel. It's NOT abandoning your journey. Instead, it could be the respite, the reprieve we need, enough for us to sort of 'refuel' before we get back on track. After all, LIVING IN A 'PAUSE' IS NOT A FAILURE!!!
