Be ADEPT to ADAPT

In these trying times, be ADEPT to ADAPT

BE ADEPT TO ADAPT. Nowhere in recent modern history have we seen all countries grappling the bull by its horns, facing the same foe and the same woes ever since the outbreak of this global pandemic, COVID-19.

And as I keep espousing, everything in life needs to be planned EXCEPT illnesses, accidents, natural disasters and terrorism. Trust me, we are on the same boat with these tenets.

Who then survives this COVID-19 pandemic ? And how will YOU survive this game-changing and life-altering challenge ? This is were we, YOU, needs to be adept to adapt !

Cutting across cultures, race and religion, we are all in survival mode and even after the dust settles down, life will never be the same as it was the past century.

Are we in this game today to SURVIVE and pick up the pieces from where it was before the COVID-19 outbreak ?

And, would you want to see yourself to be one of the last men standing ? Here we go then.

Numero uno, revisit your GOALS [and that includes your timelines]. Simply put, revisiting your goals mean reassessing it and if needed, revise it to adapt to what we are in now and adapt to where this long and treacherous road will lead us to. UNLESS and UNTIL your GOALS get revised, you will remain off-track.

Secondly, surely multifarious challenges do abound now. So, where do you start in the face of all these ? Grab those low-hanging ones so once you clear it, you will be focused to face the challenges that will push you to your limits.

Hold on, you might confront me with this: how will you manage multiple major challenges 'all in one go' ? No way Jose, that's not just doable.

Instead, got to do it this way:

PRIORITIZE which among all the challenges at hand based on what is the most impactful. If there are multiple impactful ones, make a judgment call and pick which ones you want to take on first based on the probability of you succeeding and hurdling such challenge with the least effort at the shortest possible time.

Be HARD on yourself. Be HARSH on yourself. Track how are you progressing. Measure your progress, if at all. If you seem to have 'hit the wall', you may want to set that challenge aside and move-on.

Never get stalled as in NEVER. NEVER because you should not lose that momentum to keep going. NEVER because you should not lose that thirst to carry on and succeed.

Lastly, take regular and random pulse checks on yourself, your progress to give you that confirmation that you are on-track and within sight of the goals you revised to achieve within your revisited timelines.

To piggy-back on Stephen Hawking's wisdom, INTELLIGENCE IS THE ABILITY TO ADAPT TO CHANGE. BE ADEPT TO ADAPT

Straight from my thought processes...

Is CONSISTENCY An Issue?

Is CONSISTENCY An Issue? Is CONSISTENCY An Issue?  Me thinks, it is a legitimate issue.  As we all know, some of us prefer to take SMALL STE...
