Life Is Fair, After All!

HOW often do we hear [OR do we blurt out] that LIFE ISN'T FAIR?  WHICH reminds me of this Quora.com story:  A white woman in her fifties sits in her seat in a crowded flight WHEN she decided she DIDN'T want to [as she was next to a black man].  Disgusted, the woman immediately called the flight attendant and asked to move, blurting ' I CAN'T SIT HERE NEXT TO A BLACK MAN.  The flight attendant courteously replied, 'LET'S SEE IF I CAN FIND A PLACE'.  After checking, she came back and said: 'Madam, there are no more seats in economy but let me check with the captain if there is a seat in first class'πŸ“—πŸ“™πŸ“˜

10 minutes passed, the flight attendant came back and said that the captain confirmed there is one seat available in first class but as per policy, they DON'T move passengers from economy to first class BUT considering that it would be a scandal to force a person to sit next to an UNPLEASANT person, the captain agreed to make the move to first class'.  Before the woman could say a word, the flight attendant gestured to the black man and said:  'Therefore sir, if you would kindly retrieve your belongings, we would like to transfer you to the comfort of first class as the captain does NOT want you to sit next to an unpleasant person.  Instantly, the passengers errupted with applause, with some giving a STANDING OVATION.  Indeed, LIFE IS FAIR, AFTER ALLπŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’œ

BUT one might ask, WHAT does it mean for LIFE to be FAIR?  Firstly, nobody told us, NOT even our ancestors and forefathers, that LIFE will be EQUAL.  WHY?  Because EQUITY pertains more to an agreement, akin to those negotiations between parties WHERE both parties will endeavor to reach parity and equity BUT there's NO universal scale that we can weigh our life choices on to see IF there is EQUITY, WHERE LIFE can be FAIR.  YES, eventually, we'll come up with our conclusionsπŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

For some, they tend to draw parallelisms of being FAIR in life to vengeance and retribution.  WHEREAS for others, being FAIR looks like compromise and tolerance.  And this is WHERE the concept of EQUITY takes on different meanings for different people.  And then, WHEN these internalized perspectives are broadened into our life's choices, we will be at the receiving end of a variety of ideas about WHAT is FAIR and NOT FAIR in life.  BUT the fact that almost everyone has his own definition of WHAT is FAIR is a reality😌😌😌

Our takeaway:  WHETHER LIFE IS FAIR OR NOT, we may have to look at it both from micro and macro levels.  On a small scale, we have we have instances of EQUITY and FAIRNESS when a small of group agree to split their restaurant bill.  BUT at a macro level, let's accept that we can all talk in general terms and agree that holistically, LIFE is [really] FAIR AFTER ALL.  It all boils down to accepting that by default, LIFE IS FAIR ALL ALL and the onus is on us to really buttress that proposition which remains riddled with holes for us to plug.  BTW, to further buttress the fact that LIFE IS FAIR AFTER ALL, regardless of one's background, we are given a lifetime to prove that LIFE IS FAIR ATER ALL!!!

It Is CONSISTENCY, After All

It Is CONSISTENCY, After All

Many of us have our BEST INTENTIONS in life.  Obviously, because we can pinpoint as the very 'culprit' of most flops and failures in life.  Problem is, CONSISTENCY is a simple yet grossly underestimated concept that holds the power to transform our lives.  WHETHER it is all about pursuing a career goal, maintaining a healthy lifestyle OR building a meaningful relationship, CONSISTENCY is the key to SUCCESS.  So, probably, the bigger question bother us is, WHAT is in it for us when CONSISTENCY gets into the picture?  BTW, CONSISTENCY, as defined, is that art of doing something regularly and WITHOUT FAIL.  Yes, we can say what we want BUT It Is CONSISTENCY, After AllπŸ“—πŸ“™πŸ“˜
It's all about showing up DAY-IN DAY-OUT even when our own self-motivation wanes or hits a low point regardless if obstacles arise OR not.  WHAT it is NOT is about being the BEST at what you can do.  Instead, it is all about being dedicated and steadfast in your efforts.  If there is a byproduct in CONSISTENCY, it breeds DISCIPLINE as both CONSISTENCY and DISCIPLINE go hand in hand and no way you can have an 'EITHER OR' optionπŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€
When you commit to doing something CONSISTENLY, you are training your mind and body to adhere to a routine.  This DISCIPLINE helps you to stay FOCUSED on your goals [YES, even when external distractions and temptations abound].  It is this COMMITMENT to your goals that will set you apart from those who sporadically chase their dreams [and bluntly, many of them end up chasing their shadows instead]❎❎❎
So what other key benefits we can derive from CONSISTENCY?  That builds and gives us momentum.  Think of the CONSISTENCY as a snowball rolling down a hill.  At first, it may be small and slow, BUT as it keeps rolling, it gains momentum and grows larger.  In a similar fashion, WHEN you CONSISTENLY work towards your goals, that will lead you to build momentum and over time, your efforts become more productive and efficient and then, your progress will accelerate, no turning back then.  The key here is to START SMALL and gradually increase your efforts, allowing the momentum to carry you forward✅✅✅
Yes, CONSISTENCY will foster your very own skills development.  WHETHER you want to become a skilled craftsman, writer, athlete OR entrepreneur, CONSISTENCY is that singular path  to mastery.  And it has been prove that CONSISTENCY is the only way to accumulate those hours.  And it is NOT just about putting in the time.  It is about continuously refining your skills and getting better at WHAT you do.  And yes, CONSISTENCY  will undoubtedly strengthen your habits.  And habits are very powerful forces in our lives.  So, this is all about CONSISTENCY  after all❗❗❗

Straight from my thought processes...

Having A Crappy Day?

HOW often do you end up with CRAPPY DAYS ?  Surely, it's NOT that often, right?  BUT I can bet absolutely that from time to time, you ...
