Damn if you do, Damn if you don't
DAMN IF YOU DO, DAMN IF YOU DON'T. Does that sound familiar ? Did you ever sometimes crack your brains asking why you end up with a DAMN IF YOU DO, DAMN IF YOU DON'T situation ? And doesn't that confuse you because when you end up neither here nor there, you start to question why it seems you are confronted with DAMN IF YOU DO, DAMN IF YOU DON'T situations ?
How often were you into this dilemma: DAMN IF YOU DO, DAMN IF YOU DON'T ? Surely multiple times, right ? But why it keeps haunting us back ?
Put it simply, there's NO ONE SIZE THAT FITS ALL. You can be logical all the time but you CAN'T be right all the time. You can keep leaning on your instincts but DON'T overplay it. You can be that creative but just DON'T over-stretch. You can be that collaborative but at times, contrary to what John Donne said that 'no man is an island', at times you need to be an island, or an islet at least.
You can confront me why can't we be consistent ? But c'mon, life is not all about consistency. It's all about 'playing the best card' you have and if you got a trump card, voila, trump it !
How do we go from here ? It all boils down to your 'balancing act', tilting to either the left or right till you achieve the right balance. But if you need to have a mantra, you gotta have those 3 P's [not the 4 P's most folks heard of]. Those 3 P's are: PATIENCE. PERSEVERANCE and PERSISTENCE all rolled into one, Take out 1 of those P's and you're down and done.
Oh yes, I'm here, offering the olive branch, we can have a 4 P's mantra and that 4th 'P' is prayers but please don't give lip service to the 1st 3 P's because that can either make or break you.
