Anyone here WHO would disagree that we are truly super-blessed for having faced the worst ever challenges in life? Compare that to someone, born with a silver spoon on his mouth, living life akin to the scions of business moguls? How have we fared in our TOUGH-AS-HECK assignments? WHETHER your record in tackling those challenges is either dismal OR spotty at best, take solace with the fact that it makes you more honed and hardened📗📙📘
Years back, I was confiding with a close friend the challenges I had at hand and he retorted "YOU HAVE MORE THAN IS REQUIRED'!@#$% and instantly, that resonated with me. NOT only did he emphatically acknowledge WHAT I was dealing with BUT he also reminded me that I had WHAT it takes and it took to face those challenges then. Alas, like most of us, I've got quite a bit of experience overcoming adversity💚💛💜
Fact is, that selfless counsel from my friend made me remember my own strength and that new found resilience WHICH I admit we sometimes forget in the midst of our difficult times. WHICH reminds me of this quotable quote I once stumbled across: "CIRCUMSTANCES DON'T DEFINE YOU, THEY REVEAL YOU". Verily true, challenges are a normal part of our life. Sadly, it seems easy for us to forget that facing difficulties directly can help us grow and gain wisdom even though it can be hard😡😡😡
And WHILE I DON'T believe that we have to OR that we deserve to suffer OR struggle for us to evolve, one of the best things we can do WHEN dealing with adversity is to find the 'GOLD' in the situation as much as possible. The recurring question staring at us is this: WHAT DO WE DO WHEN FACING CHALLENGES? Here's my 2-cents: REMIND YOURSELF OF ALL YOU'VE DONE, EXPERIENCED, and OVERCOME!!!
Our takeaway: Even though we are all unique and our own stories are different, we have all encountered numerous challenges, triumphs and personal growth throughout our lives. Comparing myself WHEN I just graduated from university versus NOW, I'll readily admit that it's like comparing the sky and the ground. And by acknowledging and embracing this fact, we can create an even deeper and more authentic sense of self-confidence down the road, C'mon dude, let's roll up our sleeves for those TOUGH-AS-HECK challenges in life✅✅✅
