Are You [JUST] Treading The Water?

Are You [JUST] Treading The Water? I may NOT be a swimmer BUT I certainly can differentiate the stark difference between those WHO float versus those WHO sink.  For the Gen Zs and even up to today's generation, surely it's still fresh within you that strong faith you felt WHEN you were in your mother's arms and that is always a good start but as you go on life, there should be the consensus that anything simple will just get complicated sometimes much to your chagrin, OR worse, your frustration๐Ÿ“—๐Ÿ“™๐Ÿ“˜

NOT so long ago, I met someone WHO was going through his ordeals and life.  And he confided that he was focused in his therapy even as he admitted that he felt that all along he was just TREADING THE WATER.  So, I kind of surprised him with my challenge question:  WHAT IF YOU STOP [treading the water]?  He got back to me and took a shot by frankly telling me that that was NOT one of the best interventions he can ever think of, to WHICH I did totally agree with๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’œ
BUT this fellow admitted that he realized that till that time we spoke, he has been TREADING THE WATER because he felt he was 'fighting' something very much within his self.  And at that point, I sort of sang 'Hallelujah' and did comfort him that many of us do that all of the time, in fact.  Many are fighting that FEAR of 'being found out' OR that even that ironical FEAR of becoming WHAT and WHO they are, whoaaa❌❌❌
Mother of all ironies here is that this fellow eventually admitted that as he was thrashing against the waters, deep down within himself, he knew that he would eventually lose that fight.  At that point, WHEN I advised for him to consider to stop TREADING THE WATER, that was kind of an eye-opener in him to realize the huge difference between sinking OR floating because the very moment he gives up struggling in the water, if he's going to float, he needs one thing๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ˜Œ
Our takeaway:  Frankly, NO ONE in the world wants to sink.  Instead, we all want, at the very least, to stay afloat.  Reminds of those carribean cruises WHERE suddenly tragedy hit them.  At that point in time, their singular goal was very modest, that is, to stay afloat until the rescuers will come to extricate them out of it.  So, WHERE's the beef here?  I've seen, heard and witnessed it first hand many times WHEN the person himself was totally clueless that his trajectory was south-bound and getting worse [maybe NOT that significant enough to be detected NOT until things would be hitting rock bottom].  Heard of those narratives?  True, there's a lot WHICH is regrettable because before things became a lost cause, there was every inch of hope that he could still redirect the course WHICH was potentially doomed at that point in time.  So, ARE YOU [JUST] TREADING THE WATER???
